We are excited to announce that the 9th annual Michael’s Run for Life Festival will be held on Saturday, July 23 in support of colon cancer research. Michael Brown was diagnosed with a rare type of colon cancer (signet ring colon cancer) at 26-years-old. After four years in remission, Michael experienced a recurrence in December, 2013. In hopes of creating more awareness and research regarding rare types of colon cancer, the Michael P. Brown Colon Cancer foundation was born.
Each summer we host a 5K Run/1 Mile Walk, as well as a Kids Fun Run in Germantown Hills, Illinois. Food will be available for purchase from 5 PM-10 PM, adult beverages will be available all night. The run/walk will begin at 6 PM with the kids race prior at 5:30 PM. Each participant will get a t-shirt and free entry to a live concert by Trippin Billies after the race. There will be a kid’s area with balloon animals, face painting, and crafts.
Our event will take place rain or shine. Please consider helping us spread the word and joining us.
