This course is 100% trail. Lots of technical running areas-roots-rocks-water and such. And maybe a surprise or two. Mostly single track and hiking trails. You might not want to wear your best running shoes. This is real trail running. One aid station-water only.
Race will start and finish at the Fisherman’s Trail parking lot. Located on the west side of Evergreen Lake. Course Map
Directions – Map
From the NORTH Rt 39 to Kappa/Lake Bloomington exit 8. Turn RIGHT-WEST .
From the SOUTH- Rt 39 to Kappa/Lake Bloomington exit 8. Turn LEFT-WEST.
Follow road approximately 4 miles-parking is in the grass field on your right/west side of road; please do not pull into the gravel parking area on the east side of road, as we are using it for a staging area.
Wave Start
The format of this race will be a wave start. Groups of 15-20. Waves will start every 30 seconds until everyone is on the course. When you register you will give us a recent 5k split or comparable minute per mile. You will be placed in a wave based on this time, so please be accurate.
Registration is online and mail in and will open Jan 1st and close on July 7th. Race is limited to 150 runners. Please contact Shady Hollow Trail Runners with any questions. Every pre-registered racer will receive a short-sleeved two-button Henly.
Cost
January 1 – May 31: $25.00
June 1 – July 7: $35.00
Awards
Overall male and female. Masters male and female. 1st-3rd in each age group will also get an award. Every runner gets a finisher award.
