I started my journey when I was stationed in Quantico, VA stationed with Gunny Harvey Walden. You have seen him in Celebrity Fit Club… yeah HE was my boss. I knew then I better whip it up or he was going to ride me for the next 3 years of my life. I got down to 145 and life sucked.. This was in the gym 3 times a day and watching everything that went in my mouth. I was so obsessed that my scale lived at my kitchen entry way.
I got out of the military and moved back to Illinois. I maintained well at 155 and felt good; I was no longer a nut case about everything. When I got pregnant, the day I delivered I was 249!!!! Yeah weight gain.
I got down to 185 and got pregnant again… I delivered at 245. Yep it is official I get fat when I am with child.
My youngest is now 22 months old and I am back on a HEALTHY track. I am not the same nut that was in the gym every waking moment, however, I have started running again and have been doing 5ks this year.
I have most recently started with Beach body Shakeology and P90X. I workout 3 times a week because honestly 7 days does not fit my schedule as a full-time student, working full-time and raising a young family. I have dropped down and feel healthier.
I am motivated by my kids; I want to be able to do everything with them a mom should. I want to get back to a healthy maintainable weight without living in a gym, exercise is great but I can not live and breath it anymore.
I am not yet where I want to be… but I will be. I have the tools, support system, and ability.
