The 11th annual Michael’s Run for Life Festival will be held on Saturday, July 27 in support of colon cancer research. Michael Brown was diagnosed with a rare type of colon cancer (signet ring colon cancer) at 26-years-old. After four years in remission, Michael experienced a recurrence in December, 2013. In hopes of creating more awareness and research regarding rare types of colon cancer, the Michael P. Brown Colon Cancer foundation was born.
