My life has changed a lot in the past year. I used to come home from work and eat and watch tv until it was bedtime. Now I have trouble fitting things into my weekly schedule, I am involved in the community, I EXERCISE!!
Anyone who knew my attitude towards sports and physical activity would be surprised that I have found a physical activity (running) that I love. I skipped my P.E. class for two years just so I wouldn’t have to run a mile. Granted, I still think it was justified, as that gym teacher knew nothing about running and treated us all like football players. There was no walking allowed, no build up of endurance or distance, just hey, it’s your first week back from summer vacation? Ok, well that’s nice, go run a mile without stopping. Yeah, who wouldn’t despise running after that kind of treatment?
I’ve had my ups and downs over the past year. I have totally fallen off the bandwagon both with running and dieting at times. I just don’t let the guilt get to me and I get right back on.
I know that I’ll never be able to quit dieting or exercising, I am still working towards my weightloss goal. This is a lifelong struggle that I’ll have to take one day at a time and not worry about goals or anything long-term.
