Love a good cross country race? Join us for a 5K along the Eastern Illinois University (EIU) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country course, August 25, 2012. This annual race honors the memory of Ryan Meece, who passed away September 1, 2009. Ryan was a beloved husband and father, and a member of the 1993-1998 EIU Cross Country and Track & Field teams.
Start time: 8am
Location: Eastern IL University in Charleston, IL
The 5K course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills, and the terrain is a mix of grass and gravel. The race starts and finishes near the EIU Lantz Pond Pavilion.
