STEAMBOATSTART: THE FUN-RUN STEAMBOAT CLASSIC TRAINING PROGRAM
PEORIA, IL – The 2019 Steamboat Classic committee is teaming up with RC Outfitters to bring back the fun-run training program, SteamboatStart, for its second year starting on April 10. This program is designed to help beginning runners and more experienced runners prepare for the upcoming Steamboat Classic in a fun environment.
SteamboatStart will run every Wednesday at 5:30pm starting outside RC Outfitters on Water Street in downtown Peoria. All participants will participate in a training program with proven results. Michael Lewellyn, president of the Illinois Valley Striders (IVS), and fellow IVS member, Roland Savoie, have put together a team of group leaders who will each lead a pace group through the workout each week. The SteamboatStart training program is open to all ages and levels.
All participants are welcome to stay after for refreshments and post event activities. For more information about the training program, to see the workout place, or learn more about the 2019 Steamboat Classic, click here.
